Each week as we come to Lord’s Table, we proclaim the mystery of faith:
Christ has died
Christ as risen
Christ will come again.
We call it a mystery because for generations, God’s plan to redeem the world through Christ remained hidden. But during the final week of Jesus’s life this veil of mystery was removed, and God’s intention to offer salvation through the person and work of Jesus was revealed. The events of Jesus’s final week stand at the blazing center, not just of the biblical story, but of the entire Christian faith.
In this series, we explore Mark’s description of Jesus’ final week and what it means for us, our church, and the world.
